How to shower with 3 month old baby?

I’m going to be traveling next week and I don’t want to bring baby’s bathtub (takes to much room) . Have you showered with your 3 month old baby before? If so, how do you it to not get water in baby’s face and ears?

I didn’t. I put baby in a rocker in the bathroom and rushed- or I’d put her in a basket with towels. 😂 
If I was somewhere where I didn’t have her bath I’d fold a towel and put it on the floor of the shower or bath, turn the water on (very small amount, drain still open) and bathe my baby as normal using a washcloth.

Wrap your baby in a towel so that you are able to wash them but they aren’t too slippery! I just did this with my son the other night and he is almost two months now and he loved it! I made sure to keep the water out of his eyes and ears and the majority of the Time i stood with my back against the water so it only trickled down on him. Make sure to have everything set up in the shower like washcloths and soap beforehand. I had my boyfriend waiting to grab baby once he was done being cleaned so if you have help then allow someone to take baby after they have been cleaned so you can shower but if not I would shower first with baby on the floor of bathroom on clean towel with them in plain sight then bring baby Into shower or just give baby a bath in the sink.

My baby would only shower for months. So I would hold her and stand facing away from the water and let it hit my back/neck, and just turn a little when she needed rinsed. Just don't plan on showering yourself lol that's the hard part.

For us it works best if we take a family shower so we can take turns holding her and washing her and when she was younger it made it easier to wash herm we started around 6 weeks, she's now 6 months and LOVES the shower

If your baby is 3 months old the PUJ sink tub may still fit your baby for baths. I bought one for traveling purpose and it’s great! Foldable, light weight and easy to travel with.

I shower with my kiddos, make sure you’re sitting down in the shower because they are extremely slippery and also be very quick because they will get cold very fast so it’s best to have someone waiting with a towel to grab the baby from you straight out of the shower if you can. As for avoiding water in the ears and face just take the shower off the holder thing so you can hold it yourself and have more control if you can .

My one year old still refuses to shower. She is scared of the noise. When she was smaller, I put her outside the shower in a rocker or walker

It’s hard because they get slippery when your standing up, trying to wash them and yourself. I managed it for a while because her dad could grab her after i washed her up so I could finish by myself. If you could get something to sit on, it would help. If it has a tub, just take a bath I guess. 🙂

My baby has taken far more showers than baths in his 19 month life. Up until a couple months ago showers were just easier. You just hold baby against you and clean them. You don’t have to put their head under the water.
