Boys vs Girls - Are they different?

Question

For all the mamas who have had a boy and a girl I need some advice! I have the most amazing little 1 year old girl. I am currently pregnant with baby #2 and all the signs are pointing towards boy and that scares me. I feel like having a girl would be so much easier because I know what I’m doing where as a boy you have some different things like circumcision and peeing on you to think about. I’m hoping I’m just being silly and they aren’t so different but I need to know. Is caring for a boy way different than a girl?

Children are hard period regardless of gender. Don’t let that stop you from wanting a boy. You don’t have to circumcise your son and as for learning things about boys, there are so many resources,plus glow is here if you need advice dear. You will be ok if you have a boy. I have a baby boy and I was scared like you but he’s so amazing and cuddly and lovable plus boys teach you things you wouldn’t imagine And the bond between your baby boy is magic. ❤️ wishing you luck on whatever gender you have.

It definitely is different but you get used to it. For women girls are easier because we have the same parts and know how to care for it. For boys, it was harder for me. I don’t have a penis, so caring for one was hard for me at first. Besides the genitals, boys are naturally rough. That’s something that’s different as well.

Use a washcloth for diaper changes with boys! My son kept peeing everywhere so we would put a washcloth on him as soon as we opened his diaper (after his circ was healed of course!) we honestly did it for months till he really wasn’t peeing anymore. I’m pregnant again and hoping for a girl this time around! Good luck to you mama!

I had my daughter 1st, and my son 2nd. I was scared that it would be so different, and I would be lost and not know what to do. 
You learn everything eith the 1st, the only difference is the diaper change really. I've never been peed on during a diaper change * knock on wood*. My son is 1, a tip a lot of my boy moms gave me was always make sure he is aiming down into the diaper, not up, or to the side because he will be through and that's a next level change. Circumcision is a big decision, I did so much research. It was so hard to find a website that wasn't biased. We decided not to do it. It costs a fortune, and the idea of it really bothers me. No judgment towards any mom who decided it was the right choice for their son. I just couldn't. Just do your research and decide what you think is best. Best of luck, congrats on your pregnancy!

I only have a boy but the peeing on you and circumcising aren’t a big deal. My husband was adamant about circumcising (I don’t have a penis so I deferred to his judgement 😂). They did it the morning after he was born and he didn’t even cry. It was so fast. You just put vasaline on it a few times a day and it heals up within 10 days. Super fast and easy. It really didn’t impact his mood at all either. 
My son didn’t pee on us much but the fool proof method is just pulling back to diaper to expose him to the cool air, that usually triggers the reflex so you put the diaper back over, and then when he’s done you just change it like normal. 
My little man is my sunshine. Little boys adore their mamas. It’s so cute to watch how protective he is of me and how much he tries to take care of me. I’m sure girls are great too but I have loved having a little boy. 🥰

Girls can pee on you as well! lol To be honest, I have a boy and am pregnant with a girl and had actually hoped for another boy. I love her already but I’m an elementary school teacher and the level of drama that comes often with little girls scares me... lol

I have a 11 1/2 month old boy and a three week old girl. I'm only three weeks in with my girl, but so far there has been very little difference. And actually she's peed on me more than my son did! 😂 Don't worry mama, you will do just fine if your little one is a boy. I had the same worries only reversed when I found out we were having a girl, but so far it's been great!
