Time between feedings
So my baby is 6 weeks and 4 days old. Lately, she has been eating 3-4 oz of formula every 2-3 hours. Usually she barely makes it 2 hours before getting hungry again and only makes it to 3 hours or a little after if she’s sleeping (except for night, she goes longer then).
I might sound a little selfish but it’s kinda frustrating that she feeds so often. The only reason it’s frustrating is because feedings with her are really difficult.
She always cries when we try to burp her. I thought maybe she had silent reflux so I talked to a doctor but she just gave me a bunch of tips for reflux that didn’t help. So maybe she’s just crying because she wants the bottle so badly? I don’t know 🤷🏻♀️ it can just get really stressful.
Anyways, I thought babies her age should be able to go longer between feedings (3-4 hours), especially with formula. If we try to feed her more so she can go longer stretches she wont finish it. Or if she does, she still gets hungry at 2 hours. And/or she’ll spit up more.
Anyone else going through this? Or is there anything else I can try? This has been going on for almost 1 week. Could she be going through a growth spurt and that’s why?
