Braxton hicks at 17 weeks

Is this normal? I had a private scan which told me i was having them and then they asked if I noticed my tummy being tight which I said yeah sometimes its solid to touch- they don't hurt but this morning as I've been laying in bed ive been keeping a hand on my belly and I can feel it getting harder and softer again quite often!

Whats bormal and whats not when it comes to braxton hicks?

I never had/felt them with my previous pregnancy
