Tender breasts & sensitive nipples

I recently stopped a birth control method because of the side effects and I’m getting on a new one in a few days and lately I’ve realized my greats seem a bit tender and my nipples are starting to get sensitive

I’ve used condoms because I’m switching methods

Is this a normal side effect to hormonal birth control? I’m new to hormonal birth control I’ve only ever used condoms and had a copper IUD for a while so I’m sorry if this is a stupid question
