How to tell

I have had sex with this person maybe 3 or 4 times already unprotected:( don’t judge me i really got caught up in the moment and honestly forgot about having herpes bc i only had 1 ob and that was when i initially got it in 2017 and nothing since then so it doesn’t affect me at all. And never gave it to anyone. Besides my ex that gave it to me i only had sex with one other person who i did tell and they were ok with it and never got anything from me the whole time i was messing with them and i told them over text. But idk why im scared to text or tell in person to this new person i have been messing with. We are not in a relationship just text here and there and have sex with eachother nothing serious right now i have been talking to them for about 3 months. Should i text and tell him or talk to him in person?
