Baby boy has been diagnosed with acid reflux at 4 weeks old.

Question

We switched from similac pro advanced to similac total comfort but my little man doesn't seem to show any change in his through up and spit up.  Anyone find a formula that actually helps with gas, constipation and acid reflux?

Nutramigen is amazing. It helped our baby with reflux A LOT. We also put a little but of rice cereal in her bottle ( at the suggestion of her doctor) and fed her in a reclining high chair.

I second nutramigen. It was the ONLY thing that worked for my son, we went through 4-5 different formulas before caving and going to nutramigen. It’s expensive, not gonna lie but wic will cover it with a doctors note. Just prepare from some less than nice diaper changes.

This is the only one my kiddo would even drink. But it helped with the constipation and had a lot!

Nutramigen for sure! It’s the only formula that helped my son. He had acid reflux AND milk protein allergy. He was a failure to thrive at 4 months old and once we got him on this formula he did amazing! Our dr also had us ad a tad more formula powder than it calls for to make it thicker, it helps them keep it down. He completely grew out of both things by a year old and is now a healthy 7 year old.

We ultimately ended up on this. We used the off brand but it was the only kind that she would not projectile vomit on. She did have some rank poops while she adjusted to the formula but after that she was so much better

Just grabbed this recommendation, but powdered formulas didn't work for my daughter, they worsened her reflux and made her constipated.  I ended up making my own goat's milk formula from scratch!  Just throwing out another option that a lot of people don't consider!

We were using the Similac Pro Sensitive but she spit up a lot and had tummy issues. I also wanted to find something to help with the spit up. We went with Similac Sensitive. Instead of the Pro sensitive. Worked like a charm. She no longer had tummy problems and was much happier. I also bought a Nestle Nook Infant Lounger to have her lay in sitting at an incline for 30 minutes.

My daughter had really bad reflux & she was on Zantac for it. Her GI switched her to Enfamil Reguline because she has a problem with her anus & vagina where she has to push her stool out. People that its constipation, but it’s not. Enfamil Reguline softens the stool & helps with Reflux.
