Do you change or wash your spatula or cooking utensil part way through cooking?

So I don’t know if anyone else does this or am I crazy but if you are cooking raw meat like chicken or beef and you use the same spatula to touch the food during the beginning (while food is not fully cooked) and at the end (when food is fully cooked) aren’t you exposing your cooked food to bacteria from uncooked meat?

I usually wash my spatula when I almost done cooking so I’m not touching the food with a utensil that touched raw meat in the beginning. Does anyone else do this?
