Hi Ladies,

My sister has been going through a hard time in her life recently. She has a 2 yr old son and was pregnant with her 3rd baby. The 1st girl lives with her dad. My sister asked me before the baby was born if I wanted to adopt her because she would not be able to care for the baby properly (CPS took custody of her son and has recently placed him back in the home). The baby was born 1 week ago. My sister has decided to keep the baby. My heart is shattered. I made a baby registry, I bought clothes, diapers, wipes, car seat. I bought a plane ticket to go get the baby because my sister lives out of state. I had all these plans and invisioned caring for this child. I can not stop crying over this situation. When she posts pictures on social media, I think to myself..I should be cuddling you and kissing your little feet. Am I wrong to have those feelings? I know it is hard for her to just give her daughter away. But didnt she consider how my heart would feel if she backed out, before asking me?
