How often are yoir babies napping??

Pretty religiously my baby is napping twice a day. First nap is with the second bottle of the day(usually 3hrs after waking) lasting 2-3hrs. The second nap is late afternoon/early evening. Last night I woke her and only let her nap 1hr but she still was awake and active till midnight!!!
Today same thing. Although her nap wasn’t due short my husband let her sleep and she took two 2hr naps today. I didn’t have this with my first but she was also consistently in child care from 14wks. I went back to work feb 18 and was sent joke due to Covid March 20 so I basically feel like I’ve been on maternity leave since November. Schedule is off for all 3 of us (me, 3yr old and 8mo old) but this is nutty!!!!! Anyone else??

I get an hour roughly 2 hours after first waking and then an hour and a half 3 hours after the previous nap. He goes to bed around 4-4.5 hours after the last nap but sleeps 12 hours straight at night. Never wakes.

I think it’s quite possible that she’s getting too much daytime sleep. Whenever you try something to balance daytime nighttime sleep you can expect it to take a couple of day up to two weeks for her body to get used to the change. I know not everyone does this but we always cap naps to get the best nighttime sleep, eg no more than 3 hours over the day and not past 4pm so bedtime doesn’t get too late is what we do.

I think she’s sleeping too much during the day! Maybe cut them down by an hour or so, especially the afternoon nap. My daughter naps twice - morning and afternoon. On a good day she’ll sleep for a couple hours in one stretch. Occasionally she doesn’t nap well at all but usually makes up for it at night.

What’s hard is that when a baby is tired it’s almost impossible to force them to stay awake lol I’m gonna give things a try.
Today she woke up at 830am and is now going down for nap at 12:30. Id like to make this her only nap but we’ll see

My son wakes up between 7:30 and 8 am normally. Naps around 11 am for about an hour and then around 2:30 pm for an hour to an hour and a half. He goes to bed between 7:30 and 8 pm.

2x 1.5-2 hr naps. 2.5hr wake windows so usually 930/10 and 130/2 nap times.
