Birth control

Hey moms, I recently got my birth control pills and my OB said to start taking it on Sunday which was yesterday, since I had already started my period last week, and I completely forgot to take it last night. This is also my first time ever being on birth control of any kind, so I’m kind of clueless as to what to do. Do I have to wait now to take them? Or can I start today, Monday?
