Bleeding after sex

Hi ladies. I’m new to this app and I need some answers to my questions. I am 20 years old and have been with my boyfriend for going on 8 years now. Idk why he hasn’t proposed yet? Lol that’s beside the point. Yesterday we had sex and he did ejaculate in me a hour or so afterwards I went to pee as normal to get any bacteria out to prevent a UTI. Well I noticed that I was spotting (this has never happened before) so I put a panty liner on to sleep in just in case my menstrual decided to start throughout the night. (It never came) this morning I did notice more spotting and brown discharge but only when I wipe. My period are irregular and I totaled it up by only getting one every 5 to 6 months. (I’m undergoing doctors appointments for that problem) and now I have no brown discharge or anything now. Has this ever happened to anyone else?
