Is this just normal discharge after being Checked for dilation ?

Had a doctors appointment this morning at 38 weeks and a couple days , due in 11 days but I was wondering if this was normal how it came out like that on the toilet ? This is my second baby but idk if it should be concerning . I’ve had a bit of cramping before going to the bathroom . Should I call the after hours nurse?

Normal to have some spotting after being checked, having sex, etc. anything that can irritate your cervix. It’s very vascular so it doesn’t take much. Bright red and heavy is not normal so if you see that then you need to be checked out.

It can also make you cramp. If you need you can take Tylenol, warm tub soaks, drink a big glass or two or water and lay on your left side. Those things can help settle it if it’s not true labor. If they start becoming more regular and intense, time them. If they get to about every 5 minutes lasting around a minute or so each you may need to be checked out.
