Hi you guys!!  Can someone please help me? I have terrible anxiety snd suffer from depression. I had a positive IGG result for HSV2 but then had a confirmatory test which was another blood test but known as the PCR blood test. That came back negative. Was the first one a false positive? My doctors are taking too long to respond to me. Any insight would be GREATLY appreciated!!
Also!! Index for hsv2 was 1.42 on positive test.

PCR blood test is the wrong test, it is not accurate. 
IGM is for recent infections which sometimes is not that accurate. 
My advice is retest with type specific IGG blood test in 4 months.

PCR is more accurate I think. If you’re really anxious you should look into getting the Western Blot test, it’s the most accurate herpes test there is. But if you haven’t had any symptoms you should try not to worry (easier said then done).
