Should I report lawn care guy taking a picture me of through my window?

There’s 3 lawn guys that come out once a week to mow around the lake behind our house for the land that’s not on our property. I assume the HOA or someone pays them. I was sitting in the living room which has a window that looks like lake, when one of the lawn guys stops on his mower, points his phone directly at the window at me and takes a picture. I waved my arms around and mouthed “WTF”?? Then he sped off on his mower.
Should I try to find out who they are to report them? I went outside to look for a work truck but they must not be parked on our street. What do I do? Will I sound crazy saying some guy took a picture of me?

They have no business taking a picture of you inside your home. Hell even if you were outside. 100% report them!

If it was during the day, he likely couldn't see you inside. Have you ever stood outside and looked in your own windows? Unless you're right up on them and blocking the light with your hand, you can't see anything. (Even though I know this fact I still do the window check during the daytime and nighttime whenever we move into a new place. At night usually involves the lights on and the curtains closed. I want to make sure no one can see us through the curtains) anyways. Yea the chances of him actually trying to get a picture of you are pretty slim. You can always go out there yourself and stand where he was and try to look into your own window and see if you can actually see anything.

My husband owns a lawn care, they are often required to take before and after photos of properties they mow depending on if it’s a residential or common area. He may very well have just been taking a photo to show it’s been mowed. Also, it’s really hard to see into windows in the middle of the day.

Call your HOA and file a report. That is so not okay on so many levels. Like super creepy and trespassing, and he’s abusing the privileges of his job of being close to people’s houses and on their private property to not only be a peeping Tom but take pictures too. I’d make a big deal with the HOA and honestly ask for him to be let go. I wouldn’t want someone like that to legally be allowed on my property and the HOA should understand that’s a liability.

It is illegal to take someone's picture in the privacy of their home without consent. Public is one thing, privacy of your own home? Nope, totally illegal.

Could he have been been taking pics of the lawn that was mowed...for their biz maybe 🤷🏻‍♀️ it’s kind of hard to see inside windows from outside especially if it’s sunny.

I woulsnt say report him because even know it looks like he taking pictures your assuming yes I would talk to his boss and explain what happen and go from there. But yes it seems like maybe he is.
