My two-year-old daughter was so excited when she saw that her aunt’s toes were painted pink. Her aunt then bought her some pink nail polish and she texted me saying, “I would love to help with painting her toes for the first time!” Before she bought my daughter the polish, I had always looked forward to painting my daughter’s nails for the first time so now I don’t know what to do. I wonder if I should just let her help. Maybe I’m assigning importance to this little event when it’s really not that important at all...? I know there are much bigger problems in the world.
