Any Registered Nurses still working?

I’m 37 weeks and an RN and trying not work my remaining shifts but contemplating whether I should just stop now. Any nurses out there struggling to keep working??

I’m not an RN, but work in patient care on my feet all day. I’m 39+2 and still working. Compression socks help a ton. My last day is scheduled Aug. 28, due Sept. 1.

Just curious as to why you are still working? My doctor placed me on leave 4 weeks before my due date. I’m 36 weeks now and it’s paid through the disability fmla or however. 4 weeks before and 6 weeks after for normal delivery or 8 weeks for C section. All paid.

I’m a medical assistant at a Navel base hospital. I am 39 weeks and miserable. I would say take leave if you can afford it. Luckily I get induced Wednesday so tomorrow is my last day.

Not a nurse but i work in the Electrophysiology lab doing pacemakers and ablations all day long. My csection is currently scheduled for 9/22 and I was going to take a week “PDO/vacation” before that. I’ve been really struggling with my 4 10 hr shifts being on my feet and just trying to keep up in a busy lab. I’ll be 36 weeks Friday and my OB wants my last day of work to be 9/4. But I’m also being monitored for pre-eclampsia. I’ll know more after my ultrasound on Friday if they are moving up my date. (First kid was 10lb9oz at 39weeks) so if he’s grown and developed enough they may move it up. But I totally understand working in a hospital right now. It’s just physically getting hard for me to keep up. Thankfully my supervisor has been amazing! Hang in there Momma. And yes to the compression socks. I’ve worn them the entire pregnancy. It’s helped so much!

Girl I stopped at 34 weeks. I’m 33, when I was 20 I worked until I was induced but not now, plan to quarantine before baby comes?

I’m still working at 37+3. Next week is my last week at work only because I have a scheduled c section the following week!

I am a registered nurse and literally stopped right at 36 weeks. There was no way, I could go another week!! Physically I was exhausted. But 36 weeks in California is also when I was allowed to be signed off and still be paid by the state.
