So today I had the nuchal translucency ultrasound. And my baby’s neck is bigger than normal. my husband and I will gladly welcome any baby! I was just wondering if anyone else got this done and how accurate it was. We did also get the blood work, but won’t get those results back until next week, and they’re having me come back in two weeks for another ultrasound to check again. My doctor said sometimes at a later date it goes away and measures as normal. I’m 11 weeks today. Online it said alone it’s 70-75% accurate, and then combined with the blood test it goes up to 85-95%

And again, I’m not at all worried about having a Down’s syndrome baby or any baby with special needs, but I’m just curious if anyone else had this and it ended up being the case. Basically just want to start learning and preparing myself for if it’s a highly likely scenario.
