Anyone still bed sharing?

I get looked at like I have ten heads when I say he's still in bed with us. Just wondering if anyone else is?

yup. its funny how here in the western world we get weird looks for it, but in the majority of the world, a family bed is the norm 🤣

I never bed shared, but I'm jealous of all the snuggles you probably get because you do. You do you!!

I never intended to bed share but then I got a baby who slept 30 minutes max by himself. And we tried everything. Different swaddles, different beds, different jammies, different white noise machines. You name it, I tried it. Ironically, he would sleep in the rock and play thing thing that got recalled when he was a few weeks old. I never let him sleep in it at night anyway but we gave it up for supervised naps at about a month and a half. After two months or so of sleeping in 20 minute stretches, I gave in and let him sleep with me. He still is because I still like to sleep in longer than 20 minute stretches.

If it’s what you want, then that’s a parenting decision you make. Personally, we sleep trained. Now everyone gets all the sleep they want. I’ve worked in child welfare and have witnessed tragedies from bedsharing, so we just never went that route. Also, the longer they stay in your bed, the tougher it is to get them to leave. But again, if it’s what you want, then that’s a choice you get to make as a parent.

It’s not my thing. But in some cultures they bed share for a long time. Like Japan they’re well into being toddlers before they move to another bed.

Half and half for us. Ours will start off In her crib but alwayyssss wakes up about 4 hrs in ..I'll put her back to sleep in her crib and like clock work she will wake up again in about an hour or Soo. If she wakes a 2nd time I always just put her in the bed with us and she sleeps the rest of the night.

No I never did lol unless they were sick or something and it was only for like 3 hours then it was time to wake up for the day I personally wouldn’t be able to sleep peacefully with a newborn without thinking I would smush them. I did have a bassinet right next to my bed and then transitioned them to there crib after.

I have a gf that still sleeps with her 4 year old and her husband starting sleeping in a separate bed just so they were comfortable. Between personal reasons and wanting to have personal space with my husband, my baby was in the bassinet and straight to his crib where he still is. We’ve been pretty strict with that and no screen time! Everything else has pretty much gone out the window 😂
My sister in law usually lets 2 or 3 of her kids sleep with her and her husband. Noooooo thank you.
