Measuring ahead?

I just left my 37 week appt (37 weeks exactly today) and baby girl is measuring a week and a half ahead. Doctor is estimating her to be at 7.5 lbs already (holy hell). So next week I need to do a growth scan and make a decision on induction. My delivery with my son was traumatizing to say the least. There was an episiotomy and 2 vacuums and that was after 73 hours of hard labor. He was 7 lbs 15oz. I am scared of a repeat birth experience. To the moms who have been induced, what has been your experience?

Terrible. I will NEVER be induced again. I hemmoraged afterwards and bc my uterus is so tired from forced contractions I dropped tons of blood clots that it would not expel and had to go to surgery. Also pitocin contractions are hell. They told me baby was 9 lbs and I needed to. When she came. . She was 7 lbs 6 oz 🙈 never again

By that time my son was measuring 2 months ahead. Lol. He measured so far ahead from like 30 weeks on. I had a C-section scheduled so it wasn't a big deal but honestly don't go off of ultrasound measurements. They told me my first son would be 10+ lbs and he came out 7lb 1oz 🤣. My second was the one measuring way ahead and he was 8 lbs 1 oz. They're just estimates. Don't be alarmed.

Well first, ultrasound can be wrong by up to like 1.5 lbs at that point, so I wouldn’t put much stock in that. Secondly, being this is your second, your body already knows what to do, and your birth should be much less traumatic. And inducing increases the odds of emergency c-section, labor stalling out and baby coming too early, so I would avoid it unless completely necessary
