Pain med free delivery???

Question

Anyone have tips for a pain medication/epidural free delivery? Specifically an induction? I have to be induced in a week due to medical issues but really want to try all natural.

No advice for induction specifically, but PRACTICE. Practice breathing. Practice relaxation techniques. Talk to your partner about how to help you through it.
I practiced by holding an ice cube. I did one minute on and one minute off. It doesn’t hurt per se, but it builds like contractions.

Soft jaw, soft cervix. Don’t clench your jaw, don’t ball your hands in a fist. Ever. Surrender your body to the contractions. Labor in the shower if you can. Picture yourself like a raggedy ann doll - limp and loose. 
Headphones and a playlist - blocks out the traffic and noise distractions. 
Look up the podcast about self efficacy. 🙂

Its going to be very hard to do it naturally while being induced. I tried and lasted 11 hours on putocin but it was terrible and I wouldnt dialte. The nurse finally talked me into an epidural and im really glad she did. I went from 5 to 10 cm in 3 hours and got to sleep so I could push for 2.5 I have no doubt I would have had a c section if it wasnt for the epidural.

I went natural and was induced it was very painful but I managed to have my son naturally. Just stick to your plan take deep breaths and try to focus

They can turn down your Pitocin drip if it’s too painful.

I was induced at 38 weeks (almost a month ago now) and had my son unmedicated, by accident. I was on Pitocin and everything. The contractions were a bitch and then I got the 💩's so one nurse was panicking cuz I was on the toilet (couldn't get my butt clean enough) so I wasn't leaving the bathroom. They made me get back in bed, as they feared I'd have him in the toilet 🙄. He was still high up and my body felt the need to push and they kept telling me I wasn't ready. But my body needed to push, there was no way I could stop it. Oh! And I had every intention of getting an epidural, but after they broke my water, my body progressed faster than they were able to get the epidural to me.
The best thing I did was focus on one thing. I could hear the nurses around me, encouraging me, counting for me during each push. But visually I was just staring at the midwife. She told me not to push and have puffy cheeks. She said "if you push good in the next 3 contractions, you'll have your son". I just remember screaming through the next 2 and out he was. I pushed for 40 minutes total. None of the nurses could believe I had done what I did, and I still can't.

Induction is different because they are forcing your body to go into labor vs your body naturally building up to it.
If you have a high or medium pain tolerance try to breathe if you can do it just focus of breathing through the pain. 
Do not be afraid to ask for any pain meds should you reach a point where you cannot continue.
