Moving out of my parents house.

So I’m currently 20 years old and I have a goal to move out of my parents house at age 21 or by age 21. I express this to my parents and my dad tells me he’s not letting me do that and that I need to stay at home until I’m ready to buy a house and move into a house which wouldn’t be a bad idea buuuut my parents aren’t exactly the most pleasant to live with. I feel like they’re pretty controlling and as I get older, I refuse to hear “my house my rules” they take that statement to the next level...even down to who I date. When I bring up this topic my dad also tells me that if I move out then I’ll be right back home in 3 months or I’ll be calling their phone for help which is pretty negative and discouraging. I think it’s also hypocritical because my parents have been living together on they’re own since they were 19-20, their circumstances were different but still🤷🏾‍♀️. I just wish it was more supportive energy
