Does Katy Texas get a lot of hurricanes

Me and my husband are thinking of moving to Kathy Texas or Richmond Texas but maybe Kathy. We live in New Jersey now but it’s so expensive and not enough space here. Some people in my family tell me not to go because a lot of rain and hurricanes.i just love how you could get something much more affordable and get 4 or 5 bedrooms and the houses Can not comprare to the ones here there so beautiful the houses in Katy and Richmond like amazing these house in New Jersey aren’t as nice. I’m terrified of tornados I’ve never seen a tornado before.
