Stitches opening up?

Has anyone ever had their stitches open after a baby? I’m 1 week postpartum today, I’m extremely sore and starting to have this stabbing pinching feeling down there where I have my stitches. I’m horrified to look at what’s going on down there. I’m also really horrified to call my dr about it, I had kind of a traumatic birth experience and I really don’t want anyone poking and prodding down there but I’m scared that maybe my stitches have opened up. Has this happened to anyone before? I’m so scared

Hi,
Have a look at your bandage to see any blood spots or any sign of infection. My baby is 10 weeks today and I had two openings at my stitches after day 10. You should ring the post natal triage or your midwife and ask them to have a look at it. They gave me antibiotics for a week and it worked. I am all healed up.

I have had that feeling, I still get it off and on and I'm 5 weeks postpartum this week. Sometimes I think my pads are irritating down there. I had a traumatic birth too and a week later I had to go back in for heavy bleeding. It was pouring out of me 😭 I was terrified bcuz they had to open me up down there with the instrument and it was painful at first for sure. I dread going for my 6 week appt

Honestly it sounds like the normal healing process. Ice pads help a ton
