Anybody switched doctors after 20 weeks was process easy??

My doctor let me go over a month with untreated Bv , I asked to be tested for it , they never called with results so after I kept calling to check I was told if I had it he would have called so I don’t so probably Normal pregnancy related discharge. I never had one before so I didn’t know. So I bring up the discharge and cramping again at the appointment and I’m told he didn’t get a chance to go over my results yet, & so he checked and I indeed had it!! I am so upset bc that shows they do not care at all. I was tested 4 weeks prior to that and told not to be worried. Anyway Was it difficult switching obgyn after 20 weeks? After anatomy scan?? I’m thinking about just doing a home birth and being done all together with a midwife if so, though I did want an epidural and hospital birth. I’m a Ftm
