Dad got a 6 week old kitten.. tips ?

So my dad got a kitten yesterday whos 6 weeks old. The people weren’t honest about how old it was until we picked him up. He’s weaned, I’m just a little worried he’s still too little to be away from his mama.

Any advice on what my dad should be doing for him? Anything in particular or should he be able to take care of himself for the most part?

Scheduling a vet appointment today but I’m just wondering if anyone has experience with a kitten this young.
