I feel like family & close friends should be off limits. It's too awkward. & I'd also be wondering, if something was going on prior to our breaking up. I'm always suspicious & side eyeing people who date one of their ex's friends/family members after breaking up. Or when a friend date's their best friend's ex boyfriend/gf.  You don't just end up with them out of the blue...some kind of connection had to be there prior, even if it was innocent. Of all of the people they could meet, why someone in your circle? Just my two cents.

I wouldn’t be pissed at him, he’s an ex and can date whoever now. But I’d dump the cousin too. That’s not what someone who’s close to you would do, especially not w/o talking  to you first and giving you a heads up
