Autism Parents - Please Help

I have a question. I am highly suspect that my boy (22 mo old) is on the spectrum. There have been many signs that we missed because he is our first and we really didn't know they weren't normal. Anyhow, I have already talked to his doctor and she just referred him to speech therapy. I am waiting on them to call. I contacted early invervention and they are sending me an intake packet to fill out so I am waiting on that as well. Also, I went ahead and asked his doctor to refer him to the developmental peds dept at vanderbilt childrens. So my question is what are my next steps? What have I missed? What else can I do for my little? Thanks in advance.
