Breast milk storing?

Have you done it? I have a question...
I never planned on storing breast milk. But my boobs like overproduce so much, all my clothes are wet. And my boy is not even two weeks old. I did an ezperiment and collected the dripping from one breast in a cup while I was feeding from other one. I got 50 ml (1.7oz) of milk from it. I do not have any "breast milk storage bags" on hand, but, I do have 100 ml food-popsicle making bags just gathering dust on my shelves.
So my question is. Can I keep the bag with milk in frige for about 4-8 hours before freezing? Because I probably would fill that bag in one to three feeds. So I would be adding the next collection to the same bag a few hours later maybe. Or do I have to freeze all I get right away?

You sure can. I usually froze within a day or two, I froze in 4-6 ounce portions in the milk bags. Laid them flat while they froze so they took less space then filled extra large freezer bags. I found it smelt really freezer burnt if not in a freezer bag. Also when they are frozen, just be mindful when moving them around. The bags are easy to get a little hole in them when frozen and so sad when you go to dethaw and it leaks out

You need to use sterile breastmilk storage bags to store milk when freezing. They need to be clean and sterile, not a regular ziplock. If you just want to store milk in the fridge for a few days bottles or glass jars are ok.

Please don’t use the popsicle bags as they aren’t sterile. 
Breast milk bags come pre sterilized. 
What you said about freezing and what not is ok to do. It’s just that you need to have breastmilk storage bags because of being sterile.
