Pregnancy victory
We hear so much of the struggle of losing weight, but I’m here to talk on my experience on the other side. Of struggling underweight. So I’m 24 weeks pregnant, I have pretty bad HG I go to the hospital 3 times a week for iv treatments and I’m on 4 medications. I have a big appetite but often throw up soon after I eat. I have suffered with low weight my whole life. I’m 5’7 and pre pregnancy I weighed under 110lbs. I’ve been trying for years to get to a healthy BMI as I’m considered underweight. And I’ve never been able to do it. I had a lot of mom guilt when I began to lose weight during my pregnancy. But Friday I went to the hospital and I have to do extra labs and tests once a week... and I weighed 124lbs! And I began to tear up. My iv nurse probably thought I was a weirdo but 125 is where my healthy BMI for my body type is and I’m almost there! And I’m proud that my body is holding more nutrients. I’m a celiac and this can be hard for me. I’m proud. And I hope to continue to gain the weight I need to and stay healthy for my baby ❤️
