6w&2days-doctor confirmed miscarriage -what to expect?

Doctor confirmed today that hcg levels are dropping and i should start bleeding soon. I will go next monday for another test to check if hcg dropped to 0.
This is my first pregnancy and i don’t know what to expect now that i am miscarrying. This came out of the blue. How does it start? Is it painful?

You’ll start cramping and bleeding like a period. I MC at 5 weeks, bled for about 7 days. Tylenol/pamprin and a heat pad will be your friend. My cramps were a little more painful than heavy period cramps and bleeding was a LOT heavier for the first 3 days, get big pads. Try to just take it easy for a while and allow your body to cope with it in its own. Sorry for your lost😞 sending prayers your way.
**dont lose hope! We got pregnant again the next month without a period cycle in between and had a healthy pregnancy. Dr said that you are more fertile after a MC. **

At ~6w you can expect it to be like a heavy period with a bit more cramping. Sorry you’re going through this!
