Young babies on Prevacid reviews?

My doctor wants to put my 7 week old on prevacid 7.5 mg the chew dissolvable one. Has anyone else been on this? Does it help? How old was your baby? I’m nervous that it might be a strong dose and I’m nervous about having to mix it with water. I thought babies can’t have water

Uh if your dr is trying give your baby a pill even a one that’s dissolves find a new dr. You can get that medication in liquid for which I’ve used with two of my 3 kids but it didn’t do anything for either of them and had to go on to another medication

Find a new dr. 
No child under age 3 should ever have dissolvable medication let alone a 7wk old!!!! 
There is other liquid medication for reflux. 
And yes NO water to a newborn either.

I would like to highly discourage you from doing this. Most babies have reflux mine had it pretty bad too but we denied putting on meds. It’s just something they need to grow out of. My baby would cry a lot, spit up a lot, grunt and growl a lot, so I thought he was in so much pain but I think all newborns are just this way while they get used to their gut moving. Also keep in mind that the spit up doesn’t stop with meds, it just kills the acid so it’s less painful. But think about why acid is important for digestion and then what happens to the body if you neutralize the acid that’s supposed to be there.
