Is it odd a dad will change 2 sons diaper no problem but will not change daughter?

I’m finding it very odd that he has no issue changing the boys but does our daughter. He says he’s afraid he’ll hurt her but not the boys. 🤔 maybe I’m thinking to much into it 🤷🏼‍♀️

My dad never changed a single diaper of mine as a baby but he had zero issues changing my brother. My fiance changes our daughters diaper no problem. But in the beginning he was very nervous about because in his words "it's a lot of pressure since I don't know how to take care of one" so maybe that's the issue? Men don't have vaginas so they are more comfortable dealing with what they know. That's my best guess. I told my fiance wipe front to back and your golden lol. There was no way I was going to be the only one changing the baby

I can understand it, yeah. Maybe he has never changed a girls diaper and doesn’t know how to properly wipe her. You teach him and show him how to properly change her, and if he still doesn’t change her diaper and only the boys, then he’s a weirdo in my book. 🤷🏾‍♀️

This is quite common. Even my Dad happily changed my brothers diaper as a baby but rarely mine or my sisters. I’m not sure why, but a lot of males are the same. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Not odd. Hes a daddy and hes afraid of hurting his little girl.  Its okay for him to not want to if it makes him worried. My husband refused at first too but now we are on our 3rd girl so he does it sometimes but he always has me double check. hes paranoid about accidentally wiping wrong or not wiping well enough and what if she gets a uti and its all his fault  😂 sometimes guys just over think things.  And i think the worst thing in the world for a good daddy, would be if he accidentally hurt his baby girl.

My husband said he will never be put in a situation where he could be accused of something inappropriate. That included changing daughters diaper. I supported his feelings on this issue. It’s not my place to judge whether or not his feeling on the issue are legitimate. They’re his feelings and he is entitled to them.

My husband never changed our girls but he has our son 😂. He said that with our son he knows exactly what to do bc he has the same junk 😂our girls he said he wasn’t sure he would always clean them right and the risk for infections ect is high in girls. Which was fine with me. He always got me diapers wipes and did anything and everything else except that. Some men just aren’t comfortable with it and that’s fine in my opinion . He still isn’t fond of changing our son but he will lol.
I take that back he changed each of our girls a few times bc he had too

I do not think it's weird. I have a boy and even I feel uncomfortable to change a girl diaper. Their area can get infected more easily and for my boy it didn't matter how to do it 🤣 I'm having another boy now so I'm glad about that 💖
