Need advice on what to do.
So, my baby is about to be one month old on September 30th.
She is good through the day. Doesn’t cry much. Sleeps pretty good.
Night time is awful though. We have a routine where we go to the bedroom around 9 pm. We do everything for her. Change her diaper, feed her, burp her, gas meds if needed, formula that helps with gas and fussiness (she’s been on the same formula since birth and hasn’t had any GI problems with it), and give her pacifier to her so it’ll help soothe her, etc.
And yes, we do hold her for a while and tell her we love her and rock her, but even then she won’t go to sleep. And she still doesn’t seem 100% content when we hold her. And yes, she is awake for some hours before we go to bed and she shows signs of sleepiness so we try to put her down, but it still seems like nothing works when putting her down for bedtime.
Once she does go to bed, she sleeps for 5-6 hours, which is good for a one month old. It’s just the act of getting her to go to sleep that’s so very hard. At first, we could feed her and burp her and she would fall asleep and we would put her in her bassinet with no problems. But for the past week, it’s been as described above.
I literally don’t know what to do. Because she isn’t like this at any other time of the day. And yes, the bedroom is dark with a little nightlight and the fan runs as white noise, so it’s not a stimulation thing.
I know we are not supposed to let her “cry it out” with her being only almost a month old.
BUT PLEASE TELL ME WHAT I CAN DO. I’ve tried everything I can. And I know she isn’t hungry because even after I have given her a bottle, she seems to be done with it cause she stops sucking and doesn’t want more. So I know it’s not because of hunger.
