What would you do?

My cousin is turning 18 this weekend. For her birthday, we planned to rent a cabin and have a little getaway. The place was $440 to rent for about 4 nights. I paid for it completely to reserve it for us, but we had an understanding that they (her, her boyfriend, and an extra person) would pay me back each $100.

Her boyfriend who is 18 supposedly had a minor car accident and will be using the money to repair his car (that he doesn’t pay for btw). And my cousin, doesn’t even have a job. They both have never worked. She claims she will pay me back his $100 and her $100 once she gets a job.... and that’s when I realized THIS IS STUPID.

She doesn’t have the money to pay me back and neither does he. She’s using her “birthday money” (she doesn’t even know how much IF ANY our family will give her), to pay for his bus ticket from his college campus to where we are.

We have no one to even take us to the cabin but the train is available (which she says she does not want to do).

On top to that, while we’re there, we need to do something. Why pay money to leave my house just to sit in another house doing nothing? And who will pay for those activities? The only person with a job and money saved. Who will pay for all the food for those 4 days? Me, obviously.

I’m honestly thinking about just canceling the whole thing. Would you?

I’m 20 btw and I work full time. 40 hours a week and I’m taking off days to be there.
