I would think if you were cleared from your o.b to resume regular activities then it’s fine. I don’t think it’s recommended if you are breastfeeding. You can always ask your doctor.

My artist will not tattoo anyone breastfeeding either, so it will probably be 2 years for me. You should ask yourself what they recommend since mine is also cautious when the are rapidly changing hormone levels. It is only because they want your piece to look great and hormones, among, other variables, can impact that.

I don’t think there’s even a reason to wait two months, as long as you’re feeling up to it. The major reason why you shouldn’t get one in pregnancy is the risk of infection

It took me a drunken weekend getaway with my siblings to PR to get my next tattoo after having my second child. My second child was turning 4yrs old that year. 
I think once you’re feeling physically good, go for it.

It would be best to ask a tattoo artist. I've heard pregnancy can also affect your skin's ability to take the ink. I know some things take a while after birth to settle (like eyesight) but I don't know if pp hormones would affect that. And like others said, it's not recommended while breastfeeding either

Once you’re finished breastfeeding my ob said I was good to go. I haven’t gone since Covid through off my plan and I’m still hesitant. But I stopped breastfeeding in July
