Long distance relationship advice

Any of you ladies have experience with long distance relationship? More specifically over seas?

My boyfriend and I have been together a year, we both have been doing long distance in the states due to both of us being military. It’s been hard but we always got to see each other every 2-4 months. We’ve made it this far and have seriously started talking about marriage. Sadly, he just left to go over seas for a year and although he can’t tell me “when” and “If” he’s going to propose either when he gets back or while he comes back to visit in 6 months, those very obvious hints are there. We already started talking about our wedding plans and he would like to get married within a few months after he moves back to the states(in a year).

I’m really trying to just make it through this next 12 months. I’m not worried about our relationship, just keeping myself busy and not depressed. I’m currently going to college part time, so that’s a distraction. I’m supposed to pick orders of where I’m getting stationed next in the next couple months. We are trying to both get stationed together (this is very hard, but not impossible). I’m having surgery in a month, I’m hoping to lose at least 15lbs by the summer, I also plan on purchasing a house next spring wherever I’m stationed next.

These are all great distractions for me, but I’m still so sad, worried, and scared.

I am sooo scared that we wont be stationed close, or even within 8 hours from each other. That would mean another 2 years on top of the already 2 years of long distance we would already have together. At the end of the day, he’s the one I want to spend the rest of my life with so I won’t give up, but it’s still a scary thought.

I need prayers, advice, or words of encouragement.
