What could this be??

Question

Diaper rash showed up on my son over night. Yesterday his little groin was bleeding a tiny bit. Now all the sudden this welts popped up. I’ve been doing more frequent diaper changes, letting him dry and desitin but it seems to get worse.
What could the welts be? A yeast infection? What can I do to help it?

Get it looked at but maybe give him heaps of nappy free time in the mean time, airing it out will be best to stop it from spreading or getting worse

It looks like a chemical burn to me honestly. It happened to my best friends baby when she changed diaper brands. I’d see a doctor.

This happened to my baby when I used desitin on him. I started using a&d ointment and it cleared up.

My son had a diaper rash so bad he started bleeding. 
First we stopped using pampers and started using huggies. Made the biggest difference. We do use pampers wipes though. The sensitive ones. 
Our pediatrician told us to stop wiping him when it’s just a pee diaper. This was key 🔑 
If it was poop diaper, I didn’t use wipes for about a week. I took him to the sink and cleaned him with baby soap and water. And then pat him dry. With a towel. And made sure he was dry. It’s a lot but in my opinion this made him heal the fastest 
We used a+d diaper rash ointment and mixed it with desitin max strength diaper rash cream. Once I felt it was healing really nice I stoped using desitin and just used the a+d prevent original ointment. 
Everyday maybe 2-3 times a day we let him just air out with no diaper for about an hour

My LO had something like this before, I took him to the DR and was given and antibiotic cream and told to mix it with destin and rotate with Vaseline. I would have it looked at , I know it was very painful for mine !

I would give him an oatmeal bath to help with the rash itself and don’t put any scented lotion on it. I would get baby rash cream. And like the person before me said it might be an allergic reaction to the diapers so try different ones to see if it helps. If it gets worse I would take him in to get seen.

It looks more like a yeast infection or maybe a random allergic reaction to the diapers.
