My husband and I are about the same, but I did want to say that it's very normal for relationships to be more strained when children are added to our lives. And I just want to encourage anyone dealing with this to communicate with your partner and to try to be on the same page together and be a team! Nothing wrong with seeing a counselor either if you are unhappy as it's super helpful to have an outside perspective. My husband and I have done counseling a couple times and one as of recently. Or just share your drama together with a good listener if you have one in your life. 😜

In al. E ways we are closer.
But we are still growing from becoming parents. This really did turn our world upside down and we both had somewhat unrealistic beliefs before we had our daughter.
But we got married on our 10 year anniversary in October last year at our lowest point.
So I think we'll make it 😊
Unfortunately I've been sick with stress and it's definitely killing our sex life. I'm on medication that I wanna get rid off now as well. I hope that might help a bit.

Depends what day ya ask me 😅 but really, I was listening to a podcast the other day and they compared having a baby in your marriage to how they test cars to see if they are ready to leave the factory. They put the cars on this machine that shakes them super hard to ensure there are no loose bolts, pieces, etc. Having a baby is like putting your relationship into that machine x100. All of the loose screws, problems , etc get shaken right out and all of a sudden they are visible. My relationship with my husband is different but not better or worse. We have ups and downs and we disagree on more than we ever used to, but as long as we can talk it out and keep the communication flowing we find our way back to good.

The first 5 months were hard. Once baby started sleeping in her room through the night, our relationship became less strained. There was a routine and we were both able to have downtime finally. It’s also hard because as parents (even still) you get so exhausted, so your drive for adult physical activity isn’t always high. Haha. So I make sure we spend time together, even if it’s just a movie and snuggling. Also, taking the time to talk about real stuff, not just parent stuff. 
A very large amount of divorces happen within the first year of having a baby though, and there’s a reason for that.
