That’s bad kitties! And bad human!

So I foster and I have a momma with babies. They are 3 weeks old, and I noticed the other day that one of them was nibbling on moms food while she ate.

Now former strays don’t mess around with food, she leaves nothing behind so he had to stick his head way down in the bowl smooshed up against his moms head to get it lmfao.

Did anyone see my post about my constipated kitten? This is why. lil dude is eating his moms dry food. He just learned how to walk 2 days ago and now he’s trying out dry food. SO, I supervise her eating now. Make sure no babies are allowed.

Then, my so who knows nothing about this stuff feeds mom an extra meal and guess what little fat fat took the opportunity to get some munching in? Yep.

And then my so was like “I don’t think momma is feeding them because I saw one of the kittens eating dry food so I smashed some up and left it on the floor.”

No! NO! They are 21 days old and the kitten that is eating dry food is the same one I caught SCREAMING and shaking while trying to poop! No!

I explained how to check if babies are well fed. They are content, quiet, got full round bellies, and I see mom feeding them all the time. She’s just doing it in spurts rather than sitting with them for a long time like she used to. They don’t really give her a chance to not feed them I’ve caught her walking around my house nonchalantly with a kitten still attached to the tit. This girl is not neglecting her babies now please stop feeding this newborn kitten dry adult cat food before my brain pops out of my ears😭😭😭😭😭😭

This kitten is gonna have a hard poop tomorrow, I’m gonna have to help him out again.
