Toddler cut tongue? (update w/pic)

Babysitter just called to tell me that my almost 3yo managed to cut his tongue with his own fingernail. 🤦‍♀️ She said the bleeding stopped with pressure from a paper towel.

Any advice? I’m assuming since the bleeding stopped there’s not much else to do. (Other than trim his nails, which she’s already doing, though they weren’t all that long. Apparently long enough!)

It looks worse than I was expecting. But he seems okay, just walking around with his tongue out like a puppy.
