Watermelon at 6 months?

Baby turned 6 months today can he try a slice of watermelon??
We’ve been doing purées but I wanted to see if he can try watermelon, or I can put it in a mesh feeder

I don’t have much experience with babies on purées (my son started baby led weaning at 6 months and never had anything before) but I wouldn’t see an issue with it, just make sure there are no seeds and it’s cut properly

If you think your baby meets the requirements to begin solid pieces of actual food then you can offer it but be very cautious!

Watermelon was my babies first food at 6 months. It was fresh watermelon season and she loved it. Just prep it right. I also blended and made it into a slushy on really hot summer days and it was great to cool her down

Watermelon gave my first son severe diarrhea when he was 6 months so I would just be careful in that sense. Maybe just try a little to see.

I did put it in a mesh feeder just watch out for the seeds
