Help please!!!

So I am on CD 8 and last night I missed my dosage. I took it immediately when I woke up at 5 this morning and called my doctor and they said it could be ok but definitely could mean I won’t ovulate. I completely panicked and cried my eyes out( last medicated cycle before IUI). I’ve read reviews and apparently some people said it’s fine... so if you’ve ever missed a dose , what did your doctor recommend and did you ovulate on the cycle that took it later than usual?
