Is a Play yard/porta cot with a bassinet ok instead of a cot?

Question

We currently live in a tiny 1 bedroom unit and are pregnant with our first. We were thinking about going with a cosleeper  bassinet that attaches to the side of the bed for baby but I heard they don't last long. I have recently heard of those portacots/play yard things that have a change table and bassinet attachment for babies to sleep in. Would that be ok to use for the first year until we can move and have space for a real cot for baby? Or are they not good for night sleeping and really only suitable for daytime naps? 
It would also help with the issue of where to change baby (at this point we would be using a portable change mat on the floor or have to clear of the dresser to put a change mat on and use that.) 
I added photos for reference to what I mean. It would also help as I can pack it away and take it when visiting family or holidaying

Or could anyone recoment a good space saving cot/bassinet. Baby will be sleeping on my side so the bed has to be easy to move during the day as the only space is in the walkway of the bedroom

Pack and plays aren't reccomend long term sleeping.(the regular part, not the bassinet). They are also pretty uncomfortable. If you want a cosleeper that will last i reccomend using a convertable toddler crib. We took off the side to use it as a sidecar, then u can add it back on if you want too when baby is older or keep it off and use it as a toddler bed.

We used the bassinet part until he was rolling over. Then we took that out and now he just sleeps in the playard. The only downside is we haven't found a playard mattress that matches up with the dimensions.

I had a regular one with the changing table in my living room for when baby was small, she slept in a bassinet in my room. I got this one to use camping and really liked it. It is compact and has 3 levels based on baby’s weight and age

So they can sleep on the raised level as it’s flat and firm. You don’t want them sleeping in the attached bassinet/bouncer/rocker type things though. So like the one I posted it’s just the raised level. This can be used until they’re too big (usually around 6ish months but sometimes sooner) and then it can be removed and then baby can use the bottom layer. You can buy quilted sheets for them if you’re worried about comfort as it adds a little padding. I believe kiddos can use it for a few years (weight limits will be listed for your specific play yard) or once they can climb out on their own as it becomes unsafe which can sometimes be as long as 3 years! Definitely a perfect option with limited space!

That's what we did until bb was too big for the bassinet part. It's honestly the exact same thing just a little more convenient for you since they're portable.

I have both the Chicco and graco ones you picked. For your situation I would recommend the Chicco as you can use the changing table part without the bassinet attached where the graco one needs the bassinet part in to use the changing table
