Bleeding between & after period, cysts and invisible periods
I've had a regular 7 day period pretty much my whole life until July of this year. My period was late by 11 or 12 days, I had no signs of my period coming but when it came it came extremely light for 2-3 days then disappeared again. When I called my doctor he sent me for a pelvic ultrasound and they found what they thought was a 6cm hemmoratic cyst on my left ovary. (It was actually just the blood from that didn't come) so in August I pretty much had an extremely heavy period for two weeks and had spotting and bleeding the rest of the month. In September the same thing again 2 weeks of bleeding and about a week of spotting and bleeding.
I also was given an ob/gyn after my first ultrasound and spoke to her over the phone in September (they wanted me to wait until October to have a phone consultation with her and I had to demand getting an eariler one) she said "the cyst will just bleed itself out, but i dont know why your period is doing that. But I will follow up with you on October 15 in the mean time take another ultrasound and bloodwork before then.
The last week of September to about the 2 of Oct I was fine and went to do the bloodwork and second ultrasound. Now on October 9 I started my period again. This time I had a week of symptoms leading up to my period. When my period came it was light spotting for 2 days (not even noticeable unless I wipe) then nothing for 5 days now today (oct 17) I started bleeding again randomly while I was driving and have been randomly bleeding and spotting since.
On Oct 15 with my follow up phone appointment with my ob/gyn she said they had misdiagnosed me and I actually have a dermoid cyst on my left ovary which has grown 2 more cm during the time i took the first ultrasound and this one but my bloodwork seems fine. But theyre still unsure why I keep bleeding and having these weird invisible periods and bleeding. She suggested me getting it removed in the spring due to COVID but because this is something that is growing I rather get it out sooner than later. I am now waiting for her to call me this week to book a date for surgery
I was wondering if any of you ladies experienced anything like this? If so what were your results/findings. Do you think my period will be back to normal once its removed? I'm very concerned and not getting real answers from anyone😔
If it helps i'm 27, not on any form of birth control and have had one sexual partner for the last 10 years.
Sorry if all the information seems like a lot I hope it was clear for you guys to understand.
