Separating Children

Has anyone ever had a divorce were your ex takes one child for full custody and you take the other. My 15 year old daughter wants to go with her her dad and my 13 year old daughter wants to stay with me. We don't live that far from each to other so the girl could see each other as often as they want. I'm kinda worried to separate my children but also don't want them to resent one of us for forcing them to live with the person they don't want to live with.
