Breastfeeding restart ??

I tried to breastfeed my daughter when i brought her home after she spent a month in the nicu since she was born at 30 weeks. The entire time she was in the nicu i pumped, i pumped for a month at home and attempted to breastfeed but she wouldnt take it, the doctor said it was probably because she was tooo small. It was alot to pump every 3 hours considering shes my first baby and the whole nicu to home transition situation so i stopped and switched to formula. Now things are settled down and i want to try again, shes a little bigger and stronger now so i would love to try, but is that even possible ? Any one have any advice or similar experience ? Thanks
