Birth control PP?

For those of you planning to try for another kiddo after recovery post Oct 2020 baby (or post nursing). What are you planning to use as birth control and why? 
I am loathe to do the pill again since it takes a bit to build in your system and flush out again. And I had a bad experience with the copper iud. I am 100% aware nursing isnt not a form of birth control, so dont even bring that up.

I’m planning on the arm implant Nexplanon. My cousin had it and she said she loved it, had a period every 2 months. And you can get it removed at any time and instantly be ready for babies when it’s out! :)

We will be using condoms! We want one more and after that hubby will have a vasectomy

I have the pill but hubby is getting a vasectomy in late December. We still have to have back up protection for 3-4 months till he does a sperm count anyway so I’m going on the mini pill till he’s fixed and in the clear!

I can’t use hormonal birth control due to major family history of breast and ovarian cancer so our options are condoms, vasectomy, or tubal ligation. We are going to try and go for another one right off, freeze some sperm, then hubby is getting the snip.  He’s much older than me and has two children from a previous marriage so if we have another he is 100% done with having kids regardless of any life circumstance. Me, being 29 and only having my first kid next week, might someday want more kids if life circumstances change. So it makes sense for him to do vasectomy even though he doesn’t love the idea. I still have 15 years of potential fertility left and he really doesn’t want an unplanned baby at 65 years old lol. 
If you freeze sperm or eggs you can have permanent birth control but still leave your options open!

Oh no. What was your bad experience with the copper IUD, if you don't mind me asking? That was my plan, at least until my cycles regularly post breastfeeding and I can go back to the natural family planning method. I was very successful tracking my basal body temperature and ovulation through this app as a birth control method before choosing to get pregnant.
