After an unsolved fight in a marriage do you?

Should I give him space and sleep in the spare room or does sleeping in the spare room extending the fight? -Husband was being really disrespectful and I defending myself and told him not to speak to me that way and he got IRRATE and went to bed.

Never go to sleep angry with your spouse. But if you do, make sure you sleep with them. Hug them and cuddle them. Never let them feel unloved.

I think the saying “never go to bed angry” is unrealistic. Not everything is able to be resolved in a certain time frame, especially situations like this, and that’s okay. Do what feels most comfortable to you

Our beef ends when he comes and lays next to me because he knows I can’t sleep without him and then he cuddles me.
Very rarely do we argue and if we get annoyed with each other he will tell me “I love you with your aggy ass” 😂😂😂

I sort of see sleeping separately as a way of giving silent treatment, being stubborn and pouting.  If the argument couldn’t be resolved at that time and your husband walked away and fell asleep, that was a mature way to handle it.  It gives time to cool off and collect thoughts.  The two of you should, while calm, sit down and discuss the issues without the heated emotions.  But as far as going to sleep separate from your partner, to me, feels like the first step in a separation.  It’s dramatic and will put space between the two of you where it shouldn’t be.

If he’s mad because you told him not to disrespect you then that’s his problem not yours. If you’re mad at him and he’s tried making it better then you sleep with him. But if he’s disrespecting you and then mad because you called him out on it you should sleep in the spare room and give him a night to think about it and maybe in the morning he’ll apologise for being a dick and things can go back to normal.

Personally me, when I am mad I like my own space sometimes I just want be somewhere else, but my bf never allows it. He just cuddles me, I’m fine with it. Or we won’t touch each other and face the other way. Which is fine also. I sometimes think childish way I act wanting sleep somewhere else. But again, sometimes we need our personally space to think and recop and that’s always okay!

We still kiss goodnight and say I love you when we’re in a disagreement. My previous tactics were to be dramatic and go to the couch to prove a point, but now I see the importance of communication and working things out with my words, rather than being a brat. I picked that up from my mom, she gets super dramatic and goes into full theatrics when she is mad at my dad, and it’s really childish and doesn’t solve anything.
