What’s going on in Africa? 🌍

Poll question: Were you aware of the current issues facing numerous African countries?
What, if anything, do you think should other countries do to aid the countries facing severe issues in Africa? If you don’t believe other countries should assist, why not?

I was aware of most of the above...my husband is from Nigerian and when we visited we have experienced police abusing their powers: in Abuja went out 1 evening to cinema; on our way home police ( in uniform and with guns) stopped us to tell us the road ahead is closed! 
Nonsense!
We had to pay- ny brother in law paid- so they let us drive - and the road all of a sudden wasn’t closed!
This is a non-significant example to the above .
It’s madness!
As to what is there to be done- I can’t comment....as I have no idea!

Thank you for posting and I do believe countries should help other countries stop such horrible atrocities! 
Adding Central Asia to the list. Currently, Turkey ( which has been aiding and abetting terrorism ) is now flying terrorists to start attacks and wars in countries that have nothing to do with it. They are doing this in Armenia, Libya and Greece and already did it in Syria. Their goal is to annihilate non Muslim populations and create a pan Turkic Muslim world. They are doing this during a pandemic because the world is distracted.

I saw someone mention the #ENDSARS thing on Instagram, but I honestly thought it was talking about the coronavirus. Other than I didn’t know about any of it. I do think other countries should help, but only if they can do so without imposing their cultural norms on everyone. If that makes sense.

I'm aware because I live in Africa. ☺️ I don't feel the media covers issues in Africa as much as they do other countries though, unless it's a MAJOR issue like Boko Haram or those terrible mall and university attacks in Kenya. Often when something major or terrible happens here I look for international coverage and there's none of maaaybe one article on an African division of a news channel.

Yes, I’ve always have been. I’m glad the media is picking it up slightly but I don’t know and don’t have much hope that it will do anything.
